These are some of the books and articles that I have written.
Drinking with the Saints: The Sinner's Guide to a Holy Happy Hour (Regnery, 2015) pairs beer, wine, and cocktail suggestions with the feast days of the Church year and is a great gift for the husband/father, priest, or freshly-minted twenty-one-year old in your life. Rather than glorify alcohol, Drinking with the Saints teaches you how to use alcohol in a godly way, within a framework of Christian festivity and gratitude.
In 2018, Drinking with Saint Nick, an Advent-Christmas book, was published, and in 2020 Drinking with Your Patron Saints came out (see photo gallery below for images).
Together these books have their own website and Facebook page. Like us and follow us!
I have other popular works, such as The Politically Incorrect Guide to Christianity, Gus Finds God (a children's book based on the section on memory in St. Augustine's Confessions), Wedding Rites (a complete guide to traditional weddings), and Why Do Catholics Eat Fish on Friday: The Catholic Origin to Just about Everything.
As for scholarly books, I have a four-volume work on St. Augustine's early dialogues, an edition of Frank Sheed's translation of Augustine's Confessions, two works honoring Fr. Ernest Fortin, and an upcoming book on Christmas customs called Why We Kiss under the Mistletoe: Christmas Traditions Explained.
I have a lot of articles on the internet, and I am too lazy to list them all. If it helps, I am a fairly regular contributor to the New Liturgical Movement website, which is a great resource for liturgical news and education. I also write regularly for The Latin Mass magazine and The Messenger of St. Anthony, and I have written for Crisis magazine, the Catholic Thing, First Things, and Touchstone magazine. My articles have also appeared in the Wall Street Journal and the online edition of the Washington Post.
